PhotoToFile Backup collects no data. The app has no network features, no analytics, no advertising, and no accounts. Nothing you do in the app is transmitted to the developer or anyone else.
What the app can access
PhotoToFile Backup works entirely on your Mac and touches only two things, both with your explicit permission:
- Your photo library (read-only). The app asks macOS for permission to read your Photos library so it can show thumbnails and export original files. It never modifies or deletes anything in your library.
- The export folder you choose. When you export, you pick a destination in a standard macOS save panel. The app writes photo files — and a small manifest file it uses to skip unchanged photos on later runs — only to that folder.
What the app never does
- No data collection of any kind — usage, analytics, crash reports, or otherwise
- No network connections — the app has no networking code
- No accounts, sign-ins, or tracking identifiers
- No third-party services or SDKs
Where your photos go
Exported photos are written only to the folder you select. If you choose a cloud-synced folder or a network drive, the sync or transfer is performed by that service or your system, not by PhotoToFile Backup.
Purchases
PhotoToFile Backup is sold through the Mac App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; the developer never sees your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs the purchase: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes what it accesses, this page will be updated before that version ships, with a new effective date above.
